Do you ever feel like your workouts aren’t producing the results you want? Are you looking for a program that you can believe in and be motivated by? I assume your answer is yes, but that leads to an important question – how do you identify that ideal program?

Most often, exceptional program design will come from someone else you know and trust - a fitness professional, a coach, an athlete. At 7 Deuce Sports in Medford, New Jersey, owner Tra Thomas and former Philadelphia Eagles lineman designs programs that create believers: he adds accountability, challenge, and intensity in a motivating space to push his clients toward their goals. In Tra’s gym, it’s not an option to have a boring workout; in fact, if you can’t finish the workout you must loudly pronounce this by “ringing the bell” as you walk out the door. It’s safe to say that no one wants to ring that bell.

The backbone of Tra’s programming is Kinesis, a seemingly non-intimidating training tool that can make any athlete whimper. At 7 Deuce Sports in Medford, New Jersey, Tra takes non-believers on Kinesis and makes them believe: “Once people try it, they are hooked on it. It’s been one of our most popular classes.”

Tra developed his ambitious nature from playing 12 years as an offensive lineman in the NFL. During this time, Tra learned from Juan Castillo, one of the best offensive line coaches in the league. As a result, Tra wanted to transition what he learned from Castillo and use it at his own facility.

For Tra, the possibilities for Kinesis are endless. He reinforces this by saying, “We do explosive and high-intensity, high-rep movements. We do time and attention and strength training. Everything we can do on racks and the turf, we can do on Kinesis. We do plyometrics, offensive line drills… You might be doing a chest press, then a row, then a fly, then another type of row, then to low plyometric jumps, then to ab stations and then to something else.”

When individuals work out with Tra, they know they are getting a good workout. Plus, with class names like “FLK-Future Legends Kinesis”, “Kinesis Combat” and “Kinesis Shed,” it’s hard not to feel excited by the program.

The motto and goal of 7 Deuce Sports? Before stepping foot into the facility, the motto reads loud and clear on the front door: “Lives are being changed here. If you’re up to the challenge check your pride here.”

Whether or not the goals and style of your facility align with Tra’s, his practices and determination will provide insight and inspire you to develop your own programs and applications that will entice and retain your members.
