All martial arts styles is based on different kind of movements such as rotation, which is used extensively to increase power. For example, when a punch is thrown, extra power can be generated by rotating the hips.
Rotational kicks, such as a jump spinning crescent kick or spinning side kick, can generate more power than the same kick without the rotation (and some, like the crescent kick, require rotation for all of their power!).
These movements can be simulated through functional training with the Technogym Dual Adjustable Pulley. The POWER MODE SYSTEM (patent pending) on the DAP is composed by an intuitive ON/OFF system that, when switched on, engages an additional elastic/hybrid resistance that can help Martial Arts professionals to enhance and develop their speed of kicks, punches, and so many other specific movements. The Power system also allows the user to perform high velocity exercises or POWER training (for example, a front kick by reducing the weight stack inertia using Lifting Ratio 1:4).
“You might have to try this yourself” and you will really feel the difference! The smoother feeling and movement of the DAP allows wider range of motion due to the use of a longer cable.
DAP is actually designed for all levels of users. It’s not just a traditional cable solution for functional strength training. It’s easy to use, smooth/light and can even be reached by shorter users. DAP can help users perform many exercises for main muscle groups (Lower body –Trunk – Upper Body). Again, the innovation POWER MODE SYSTEM attached to DAP, Lifting Ratio 1:4 and the ease of use makes it a uniquely awesome piece of equipment for everyone.
